Volunteer Requirements/Information
You are able to bake and ice a small birthday cake. You choose the design, but we have suggestions!
You bake from home and do not need to have a licensed kitchen.
Every effort must be made to bake in a clean and safe home kitchen.
Bakers cover the cost of their ingredients.
The volunteer’s role is to bake the cake and deliver it to a pre-arranged address. The baker does not visit with nor share the cake with the recipient.
Volunteers can bake as many or as few cakes as they like. No minimum requirement.
We would like a response within 3 days after you receive a baking request.
A valid driver’s license and car insurance are required to deliver the cakes. Our territory is Oakville predominantly, as well as Burlington.
Volunteers are protected from liability through The Ontario Donation of Food Act, 1994, which protects anyone donating food to another person in good faith.
